Let me get straight to the rundown of changes that have occurred since I last blogged:<br />
<br />
1) Hubby came home from deployment.<br />
2) Hubby didn't retire.<br />
3) Hubby was assigned a crappy job that has crappy hours and makes him occasionally crabby.<br />
4) Our youngest daughter moved out.<br />
5) Our youngest daughter moved back in and brought her boyfriend.<br />
6) Our youngest daughter brought a dog back too (no, not referring to the boyfriend).<br />
7) Our youngest daughter announced she's PREGNANT.<br />
8) Our oldest daughter and two precious granddaughters moved back in with us.<br />
9) My baby boy will be NINE and start THIRD grade. (Let my meltdown begin in 3..2..1..)<br />
<br />
To say that life has been crazy is the understatement of the year. Boundaries must be set! Rules must be followed! ........I'll let you know if any of that happens....<br />
<br />
Cheers friends! Blogging and Drinking just <em>might</em> be the title to my new blog!<br />

Yes? Well, moving to the southern east coast of Georgia, came with many warnings about sand gnats. "Just wait for gnat season." "Those sand gnats are nasty and mean." "Watch out, they bite!" Yeah, yeah, yeah, every place has annoying bugs. We just came from Florida, we dealt with love bugs! Oh yeah, Georgia has those too....great. So, here's a little story about a big idea to plant some flowers. It goes quickly because we were moving in super speed.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZO-9_ed4O9k/U0_9UNw40pI/AAAAAAAACYA/S7m6CWRWlw8/s1600/125.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZO-9_ed4O9k/U0_9UNw40pI/AAAAAAAACYA/S7m6CWRWlw8/s1600/125.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a> </div>
<br />
I took my little man, Hago (formerly known as the little terrorist), to Lowe's so he could pick out some "flowers" to plant. I say "flowers" because I was mostly encouraging him to buy flowering bushes instead of annuals, because, c'mon, who plants to replant every. single. year? Not this girl! He did a great job with the "plant specialist" at Lowe's AND he picked colors that coordinated! Go, Hago!!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-IIKxUwdWrms/U0_-sjPY76I/AAAAAAAACYI/m_PJYHMeE-A/s1600/003.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-IIKxUwdWrms/U0_-sjPY76I/AAAAAAAACYI/m_PJYHMeE-A/s1600/003.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
This is our target area. Hmmm, it was much smaller in my head while picking out the plants. Next step, gloves and shovel. I wish I had video of the planting, because there is no doubt the video would have went viral and I would now be on Good Morning America laughing it up with Robin Roberts! Because guess what? All the helpful people who warned us about sand gnats, forgot something muy importante......they live in the mounds of pine straw! Guess what that faded crap is in the "flower" bed? Yup, layers and layers of pine straw. We woke the beasts from their slumber and they were angry and vicious. We were swarmed and bitten....<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-oe67LssjmUM/U1ABbmPlIfI/AAAAAAAACYU/Sgfx45eDVsE/s1600/004.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-oe67LssjmUM/U1ABbmPlIfI/AAAAAAAACYU/Sgfx45eDVsE/s1600/004.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
After this picture was snapped, we moved in fast forward and we were both covered head to toe in dirt from swatting and rubbing the gnats off us. Now, that would have been a great picture, but I was focused on getting to the shower! So, please enjoy some picture of the flowering bushes, or just flowers, that we planted because in all honesty, if it said full sun, I let him put it in the cart....but hey, they all color coordinate!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Te02gzm3O5U/U1ADoa9zbYI/AAAAAAAACYo/jXN77EnEbbc/s1600/001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Te02gzm3O5U/U1ADoa9zbYI/AAAAAAAACYo/jXN77EnEbbc/s1600/001.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I do know these are marigolds! And annuals! However, the "Plant Specialist" told Hago that these are natural mosquito deterrents, so he HAD to have "at least one, Mom!!!"</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
These look like peppermints :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WTeY7Lh_Qqk/U1AEFS_4zbI/AAAAAAAACY4/YHG5RM-AS3w/s1600/003.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WTeY7Lh_Qqk/U1AEFS_4zbI/AAAAAAAACY4/YHG5RM-AS3w/s1600/003.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
These are elephant ears, correct? I know they grow large and can be separated and replanted. At least, I hope!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Not sure what the red things are, but we bought a single one last year to put in a flower box on our shed, and they have grown and took over the ivy that we planted with it!!!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-oRiTNxK_feI/U1ADK80E8gI/AAAAAAAACYg/NLAllSJNvpk/s1600/008.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-oRiTNxK_feI/U1ADK80E8gI/AAAAAAAACYg/NLAllSJNvpk/s1600/008.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Ok, so these are some type of lilies (I'm guessing and no, I didn't read the little plastic sign thingy that comes with the plants. Hello....I already told ya that I just made sure they were all full sun!), but after a day of glorious rain, they bloomed even more and they are my favorite! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Gorgeous, right???? I hope you enjoyed our horror story and please feel free to picture us, shoveling, jumping, itching, and swatting and planting in less than 20 minutes! Hope ya'll don't have to hide your Easter eggs in the snow! And........... GET YOUR SHOVEL ON, BABY!!!<br />

First of all....who's over the word EPIC? This is me raising my hand. It almost hurt me to write that title. I felt I needed to use it one, er, two more times to tie into my last <a href="http://www.aperfectlycrazylife.blogspot.com/2014/01/im-back-with-epic-project-and-some.html" target="_blank">post</a> title. Anyway, I saw this impressive and wonderful piece of art at <a href="http://www.potterybarn.com/products/planked-wood-panels-usa-wall-art/?pkey=cdecorative-art&cm_src=decorative-art%7C%7CNoFacet-_-NoFacet-_--_-" target="_blank">Pottery Barn online</a> and wanted it real BAD! Well, I wanted to recreate it, because honestly, I do not have $349 to spend on art. If you do, lucky you, but my little brain cannot wrap my head around spending that much on something I can do for less. Specifically, for $309 less. If you take on this project, your expenses may be different than mine because I had all the materials except the "wood" at home already. You could possibly make it for even less, if you do a smaller version. I made mine almost the same dimensions as the PB version (give or take some inches). </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
**PREPARE FOR PICTURE OVERLOAD** </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-tKh5a_w9IzQ/U0LNUm_pIDI/AAAAAAAACSs/PQUrsZnslgE/s1600/002.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-tKh5a_w9IzQ/U0LNUm_pIDI/AAAAAAAACSs/PQUrsZnslgE/s1600/002.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is the "wood" I bought. It is actually paneling planks that lock together. I think it was $30-$40 for a pack of six. I bought two and ended up returning one pack. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hJwIEH-7TCE/U0LNW_Dk-vI/AAAAAAAACS4/-MEXjXlmtpI/s1600/003.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hJwIEH-7TCE/U0LNW_Dk-vI/AAAAAAAACS4/-MEXjXlmtpI/s1600/003.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is a handy dremel saw that I purchased for the hubs as a Christmas gift, but actually, Merry Christmas to me!!! It worked perfect for the paneling.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Xm9TAr5gpk0/U0LNWldIfhI/AAAAAAAACS0/LtARrksaXVE/s1600/004.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Xm9TAr5gpk0/U0LNWldIfhI/AAAAAAAACS0/LtARrksaXVE/s1600/004.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Cutting the planks was fun and scary at the same time. I would be lying if I said my family trusted me to use a power tool by myself, but the hubs was too busy watching sports to really concern himself with my potential calamity. (I'm kidding, people)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xlLBAOYL8bU/U0LORHtgecI/AAAAAAAACTM/sG1m_xk4-9E/s1600/009.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xlLBAOYL8bU/U0LORHtgecI/AAAAAAAACTM/sG1m_xk4-9E/s1600/009.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Once I had the boards cut, I laid them out in a shape I liked. Believe me ya'll, there was no rhyme or reason to my cutting. I would measure out various lengths (18", 23", 30") and then just messed with them to fit them together.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vGK7-5jtawI/U0LORj7tsrI/AAAAAAAACTQ/jNO8Mym_n6A/s1600/010.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vGK7-5jtawI/U0LORj7tsrI/AAAAAAAACTQ/jNO8Mym_n6A/s1600/010.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used more panels to secure them all together. Here's a really important tip: double check that your screws are not too long for your project. After repairing that mess, I started staining.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8KA1mx8eqFc/U0LPM1w7d9I/AAAAAAAACTw/IxF4J4fPZ08/s1600/013.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8KA1mx8eqFc/U0LPM1w7d9I/AAAAAAAACTw/IxF4J4fPZ08/s1600/013.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here is where I wish I would have went with a darker stain, but this is what I had on hand.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
This is Special Walnut....oh, it's special alright...even after several hours and coats, It did not get as dark as I was hoping. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I free-handed the US with chalk, which really worked well. The chalk, I mean. The free-handing would have worked better if I would have had enough patience to "erase" and try again. Have I mentioned that I have a really hard time with patience?? Now you know!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The finished product! See what I mean about free-handing? It's just a tad too fat bottomed, okay, not a tad....a lot. *sigh*</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I'm not going to lie to you, I did hang it. Two things happened: 1) I hated it. The shape (too fat), was too noticeable. I did try to live with it for a few days to see if it would grow on me. It did not. 2) As noted above, I have no patience, so I brought it in the house WAY too soon and finally figured out what was triggering my three day migraine. The stain smell, duh. I'm smart like that. Ha! It has been living in the garage and no longer smells, so I'm going to try to repair my EPIC FAIL (sorry, sorry!). </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Stay tuned for that! I know you'll be waiting on the edge of your seats!</div>

Hi!! Anybody there?!?! I have neglected my blog for so long, but I'm back and I'm ready to make some serious changes! Changes on my blog, with my <a href="https://www.etsy.com/shop/LibbySixProductions" target="_blank">etsy business,</a> and with my health. My goals for this year are:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1) Grow my business. Especially locally (we've moved to Georgia, more on that later)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
2) Lose weight. I'm dealing with pinched nerves in my back and neck and the threat of diabetes (scary)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
3) Manage my time more efficiently. I'm so unorganized.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I'm always striving to spend quality time with my family and balance my business and blogging. Obviously, I have failed at that over the last year and my blog was neglected and I didn't expand my business. So, I'm BACK and READY!<br /><br />Here's a sneak peek at the start of my epic project: </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
Shopping for supplies at Lowes! Little man isn't so little anymore!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Panels cut and ready for fabulousness! Can you guess what I'm making? Come back in a few days and I'll give you all the deets!</div>

Hello friends! I did something crafty! Whoop whoop! It only took two minutes, but hey, it's a start! If you read this <a href="http://www.aperfectlycrazylife.blogspot.com/2013/01/happy-new-year-week-late.html">post</a>, you know I've been in a little slump lately. I'm slowly digging myself out and let me tell you...it is with lots of help and support from my Sarah B. She motivates me every time we communicate (I say that because we normally talk through text, hahaha, she's a busy mommy!) I love her! I love my Hubster too, but currently, he thinks I'm insane. I was on the computer a few nights ago, this was our convo:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hubster: "What are you doing?"</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Me: "Pinning ideas for The Terrorist's 6th birthday."</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hubster: "Why? There are seven months til his birthday. You're crazy."</div>
<br />
I'm kinda happy that he didn't see my <a href="http://pinterest.com/loraweathers/">Pinterest</a> board for his next room! (Hit that link to follow me!) This post combines the two....his next room and his next birthday party. I'm a girl who likes to plan the next house before we even find it ;) <br />
<br />
I'm somewhat obsessed with camping at the moment. I think I have pinned everything camping/glamping that I can find. We used to camp All. The. Time. Of all places, that was in Alaska. Yes, ALASKA! No spiders or snakes, just moose and bear and the occasional herd of buffalo. I think about it now and I wonder, "What in the hell were we thinking taking three small girls out in the unknown camping with bears!" Now that's INSANE! Anyway, I want my husband to build The Terrorist his own little tent for a reading nook in his next room. I think they are adorable! I have also pinned those too! There is one site with step by step instructions! (I also would like to transition from dinosaurs to an outdoor theme) How does all this tie into his birthday? Well.....he told me after Christmas that he wanted a HexBug party for his next birthday. I dare all of you to search on Pinterest for HexBug parties. I found one cake. It ended up just being a picture. No website. I hate that! So, I guess I will be on my own brainstorming for that, but here is my master plan. Since we will have just moved to Georgia, he may not have any friends. (that sounds horrible, haha) So, maybe I'll invite classmates for a HexBug party, but I'll plan a family camping party in the backyard. If we have a backyard. I decided to make a Camping Birthday Party Kit and then came the idea to make a mini tent like the tent I want in the Terrorist's next room.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wolt1pZ1N_o/UO7WsmesDzI/AAAAAAAACEo/qAenLZdTfLg/s1600/026.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wolt1pZ1N_o/UO7WsmesDzI/AAAAAAAACEo/qAenLZdTfLg/s320/026.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Cute, huh? I happen to love it. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-R53-y_RxuAA/UO7WsYR4hRI/AAAAAAAACEk/X08ZoqG9egk/s1600/014.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-R53-y_RxuAA/UO7WsYR4hRI/AAAAAAAACEk/X08ZoqG9egk/s320/014.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Cupcake Toppers {Heart}</div>
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-uedEktpobfI/UO7WsYM_yjI/AAAAAAAACE0/H-I71Vdlnsw/s1600/023.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-uedEktpobfI/UO7WsYM_yjI/AAAAAAAACE0/H-I71Vdlnsw/s320/023.JPG" width="320" /></a><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Food Label Tents and Cupcake Wrappers. See my mini tent? Rustic and simple, but adorable!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qpDIYMDbPwI/UO7WxTAB_hI/AAAAAAAACE8/-hARwfn-N6g/s1600/DSCF1849.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qpDIYMDbPwI/UO7WxTAB_hI/AAAAAAAACE8/-hARwfn-N6g/s320/DSCF1849.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I found a long stick and just broke it into seven, almost equal, pieces and just used hot glue to hold it together.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iejSuB_a5yk/UO7WxiYAwAI/AAAAAAAACFA/k20wPYVJWZs/s1600/DSCF1851.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iejSuB_a5yk/UO7WxiYAwAI/AAAAAAAACFA/k20wPYVJWZs/s320/DSCF1851.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-uXheo3Jj8ck/UO7WyKZg8YI/AAAAAAAACFE/UWShLuwH4Cw/s1600/DSCF1855.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-uXheo3Jj8ck/UO7WyKZg8YI/AAAAAAAACFE/UWShLuwH4Cw/s320/DSCF1855.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Easy frame.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MC9Lm7SIlvQ/UO7WyyStt1I/AAAAAAAACFM/kfBQ_OpzPpo/s1600/DSCF1860.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MC9Lm7SIlvQ/UO7WyyStt1I/AAAAAAAACFM/kfBQ_OpzPpo/s320/DSCF1860.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I cut a strip of burlap to fit inside my frame, but you could cut it bigger if you wanted to cover the frame.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0PMkYcosTTk/UO7WzTw83VI/AAAAAAAACFU/M0xMxnDg8z4/s1600/DSCF1861.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0PMkYcosTTk/UO7WzTw83VI/AAAAAAAACFU/M0xMxnDg8z4/s320/DSCF1861.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I glued the burlap under the bottom frame pieces.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_PO-NNWEP4M/UO7WzRNHS1I/AAAAAAAACFY/fe090DYXKrI/s1600/DSCF1864.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_PO-NNWEP4M/UO7WzRNHS1I/AAAAAAAACFY/fe090DYXKrI/s320/DSCF1864.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So fun and cute!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-j7d9q-BAWzo/UO7WzhbFQVI/AAAAAAAACFc/d9vGtqQQSK8/s1600/DSCF1870.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-j7d9q-BAWzo/UO7WzhbFQVI/AAAAAAAACFc/d9vGtqQQSK8/s320/DSCF1870.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
These mini tents are so easy to make that they could be the craft at a camping party or made before hand for centerpieces or just filler for the food table. I'm going to work on a "glamping" party kit and will make a mini tent for it also, but I will use dowels and a pretty fabric, you know, because us girls are insane and we like stuff nice, neat and pretty! <br />
<br />
Do you think I'm crazy for planning so far in advance for my Terrorist's next bedroom and birthday party? I like to think I'm being prepared :)</div>

Anyone else having this issues or is it just me?</span>Libbyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13554928651666647127noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1593903565178113998.post-31395755061337917572013-01-07T09:39:00.000-08:002013-01-07T09:39:05.042-08:00Happy New Year A Week Late!<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #0b5394;">Seriously, Happy New Year! It seems that "late" has been my defining word "lately." Ha! I'm completely ashamed about that because it is one of my biggest pet peeves in others, but it seems I have joined the always late club. I'm NOT proud. And to be honest with everyone....I still haven't mailed my Christmas gift to my neice. How pathetic, huh? Another confession...all my Christmas decor is still up...along with the tacky decorations from my Ugly, Tacky Christmas Sweater party. I had great expectations for this morning, but had a rough night with The Terrorist, a.k.a. my son, Hagan. He coughed all night (poor kid) and kept me and the Hubs up...ugh. </span><br />
<span style="color: #0b5394;"></span><br />
<span style="color: #0b5394;">I started to accept that this would be another unproductive day, but something in me is propelling me to blog. So, even though I have nothing planned to talk about, I will bore you :)</span><br />
<span style="color: #0b5394;"></span><br />
<span style="color: #0b5394;">I just haven't been feeling well...not like I'm sick or even a cold. Just overall, I don't feel well. I feel tired and blah. I lack motivation. I have lost my creative inspiration because I'm always tired. Here's the news: I think I may be diabetic. My dad had it and two of my siblings have it. I had gestational diabetes with The Terrorist and was told flat out by the doc if I did not lose weight, exercise and eat healthy that I would develop it by 40. Guess what? Instead of taking that to heart...in the last five years, I gained even more weight, have been drinking too much and eating like a teenage boy. I'm currently waiting for the doc office to open to make an appointment. I'm ready for a change....and just keeping it real...I'm writing this as I'm eating a cheese Totinos pizza. Yeah, really.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="color: #990000;">My goals for this year:</span><br />1) Change my eating habits.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #0b5394;">2) Exercise.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #0b5394;">3) Cut back on alcohol (completely if I am diabetic)</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #0b5394;">4) Blog! Blog! Blog!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #0b5394;">5) Put my business out more: Libby Six Productions: www/libbysixproductions.etsy.com</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #0b5394;">6) Find my crafting mojo!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /><span style="color: #0b5394;">What are your goals for 2013? Do you make resolutions? Here's to hopping I start mine, keep it going, lose weight, and find my inner craft goddess again :)</span><strong><span style="color: #0b5394; font-size: x-large;"><span style="color: #990000;">LIBBY</span></span></strong></div>

Have I mentioned in previous blog posts that I miss my friend, Sarah B.? Let me recap....I knew her vaguely when our husbands worked together at Fort Bragg, NC, and then her family moved here, Florida, a month after we did. We became great friends and bonded over kids, crafts, deployments, drinks, food and shenanigans. Our husbands were stationed at MacDill Air Force Base (Go Army ;)), well, mine still is, but after three years, Sarah B.'s hubby was shipped to Korea, so Sarah B. took her babies back to her hometown in Iowa to be near family for the deployment. I don't blame her, she has three little ones under 5 years old...although I am pissed she left me behind! Just kidding, it's the military life and we deal with it, but damn, I miss her and the kids! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So, one day I decided I would send her and the kiddos a little happiness in a box. I got lots of ideas off Pinterest (not gonna lie about that), but I put my own twist on the contents and made it so that it was a family activity for any occassion!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--0roTBdJBR0/UJqEqC9eCjI/AAAAAAAAB_4/nENXayCXmxI/s1600/002.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--0roTBdJBR0/UJqEqC9eCjI/AAAAAAAAB_4/nENXayCXmxI/s320/002.JPG" width="320" /></a><br />I bought a cake mix, frosting, candy (for toppings), sprinkles and popcorn.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5bwRgMOUT-A/UJqEsM4V6TI/AAAAAAAACAA/8kgpE2-E0ok/s1600/004.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5bwRgMOUT-A/UJqEsM4V6TI/AAAAAAAACAA/8kgpE2-E0ok/s320/004.JPG" width="240" /></a><br />I made cupcake wrappers, cupcake toppers, cones (for the popcorn), straw flags, bag toppers and labels with fun, colorful cardstock.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-G8Fh1EFAdQ8/UJqEtR4girI/AAAAAAAACAI/a2xDqA8uxpE/s1600/006.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-G8Fh1EFAdQ8/UJqEtR4girI/AAAAAAAACAI/a2xDqA8uxpE/s320/006.JPG" width="320" /></a><br />Since I wanted it to be used for any occassion, I kept everything generic, but cute!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MEppuF2lmNg/UJqEugcZNLI/AAAAAAAACAQ/Ru0OowIujHI/s1600/008.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MEppuF2lmNg/UJqEugcZNLI/AAAAAAAACAQ/Ru0OowIujHI/s320/008.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>

Simple but fun!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PgEnI_vKmGE/UJqExR34J-I/AAAAAAAACAg/970QpLDTpqc/s1600/016.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PgEnI_vKmGE/UJqExR34J-I/AAAAAAAACAg/970QpLDTpqc/s320/016.JPG" width="320" /></a><br />I had a leftover tablecloth from a party, so I used that to cushion the box and it would also be useable to protect the table while the little ones decorated cupcakes!</div>
<br /><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-IeDhhi4gXUE/UJqEzOeV31I/AAAAAAAACAo/pn2zuQ6E0Co/s1600/018.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-IeDhhi4gXUE/UJqEzOeV31I/AAAAAAAACAo/pn2zuQ6E0Co/s320/018.JPG" width="320" /></a><br />Not rocket science to pack a box, but I wanted the banner on the bottom to keep its shape.</div>

Now, after seeing her wonderful craft that she is blogging about today, I am motivated to get back into the swing of creating and crafting! Thanks for the inspiration, Sarah B!</em></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Time Zone Clock</span><br />
<em>Turning a craft fail into a win, thanks to my craft coach</em><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fquGXqX44yY/UFaJaafcJQI/AAAAAAAAB7w/oDADFIR3Y8Q/s1600/1623.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fquGXqX44yY/UFaJaafcJQI/AAAAAAAAB7w/oDADFIR3Y8Q/s400/1623.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Do you have a loved one in a different time zone? Have trouble remembering what time it is there when you want to call? If you answered yes, then this easy craft is for you.<br />
<br />
Very recently my family left Florida (and sadly our wonderful friends Libby and Cam) and moved to Iowa so that we would be closer to extended family during the next chapter in our military life. My hubs, Steve, was going to Korea for his next assignment. When I was still in college and dating my future husband, he had joined the Army and was living in Germany. I had two cheap clocks hanging on my wall to tell the current time and the time where he was. Korea is 14 hours ahead of us in the central time zone and I knew I wanted to have the two clock thing again. So I came up with this craft.<br />
<br />
First, I found cute clocks at Walmart for only $3.97!<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-PWPrDz2Za_8/UFaTwqMcVdI/AAAAAAAAB84/_8Edpbzlw04/s320/2572.JPG" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" width="240" /></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Score!</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
Next, I went to our glorious stash of boards from Ikea and found a board big enough to fit both clocks and cut it to size on our table saw. I used a sanding block to sand the edges and here is where <strong><em>I SHOULD HAVE SANDED THE SURFACE</em></strong> of my board so the the spray paint would have adhered since my board already had a finish on it. (If you are working with an unfinished wood board then you shouldn't have to sand it.) I grabbed the only white spray paint we had, which was the really <strike>crappy</strike> cheap stuff from Walmart and sprayed the top and sides. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-eCuz-Nspljs/UFaycv9Y0OI/AAAAAAAAB_Q/EsWEeky1s3k/s1600/1604.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-eCuz-Nspljs/UFaycv9Y0OI/AAAAAAAAB_Q/EsWEeky1s3k/s320/1604.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
It left an uneven, cloudy-looking coat which I liked so I left it. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br />
Next, I used my Silhouette and some Con-tact paper to make a chevron stencil for painting the aqua color to match my living room. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LHrihKfx1bM/UFaK-Sj9qfI/AAAAAAAAB74/u1zmgOsPUyg/s1600/1601.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LHrihKfx1bM/UFaK-Sj9qfI/AAAAAAAAB74/u1zmgOsPUyg/s320/1601.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
(Did you know you can use cheap, regular old con-tact paper in Silhouette or Cricut, just like vinyl? It works like a charm, but make sure to test your cut setting so that you don't cut right thru it. I had to dial my settings down to a thickness of 1!) You can pick any kind of pattern and hand cut on paper or Con-tact or use painter's stencils from a hardware store if you don't have a craft cutter. <br />
<br />
After my chevron pattern was cut, I applied it to my board and pulled off every other zig zag to expose the space I wanted to paint.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3IpkdQVJcLQ/UFaLrKjFRDI/AAAAAAAAB8A/vwwytXpq9lM/s1600/1608.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3IpkdQVJcLQ/UFaLrKjFRDI/AAAAAAAAB8A/vwwytXpq9lM/s320/1608.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-3W-GleDF9Uw/UFaLyZZYr_I/AAAAAAAAB8I/XZ0eb8pK10w/s1600/1607.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-3W-GleDF9Uw/UFaLyZZYr_I/AAAAAAAAB8I/XZ0eb8pK10w/s320/1607.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
See where the Con-tact lifted the paint? Oops. I shoulda sanded... <em> So,</em> I think to myself, <em>I'm not going to sweat this because that part will be painted aqua and covered by a clock.</em> It was only a little taste of what was coming. I shoulda sanded the whole surface...</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br />
I crack open a beer at this point because, well, let's get real, drinking makes crafting more fun and easier (especially when things aren't going your way). Am I right, people?<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-cMMztM1ThRQ/UFaO0Tf_32I/AAAAAAAAB8o/x7Qmp1fultk/s1600/1609.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-cMMztM1ThRQ/UFaO0Tf_32I/AAAAAAAAB8o/x7Qmp1fultk/s320/1609.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So I grab my board and aqua paint and head outside. I scatter drips of delicious aqua craft paint on my board and then my neighbor pops out his backdoor and says, "Hey, Sarah! I'm going to take this opportunity to finally introduce you to my wife." I walk away from the globs of paint that I know will start drying in the sun and nice breeze and go to the fence to exchange pleasantries. <em> </em></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<em>Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. </em></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<em> </em>When we are done talking <span style="font-size: x-small;">(very nice lady, btw),</span><span style="font-size: small;"> I quickly spread it around with my foam brush. I can see rings of dried paint. <span style="font-size: x-small;"><em>Argh.</em></span> I add a little more paint and it helps. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nlTzrQCxAG8/UFaqh8EfXvI/AAAAAAAAB-s/Rwk6uapojNE/s1600/1610.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nlTzrQCxAG8/UFaqh8EfXvI/AAAAAAAAB-s/Rwk6uapojNE/s320/1610.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><em>OK, don't sweat it. It's going to be sanded and roughed up to look weathered. It'll be OK. </em></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><em> </em>The paint dries quickly and I start pulling off the Con-tact. Paint is peeling off with each strip.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<em></em> </div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-sAgIVxZeapw/UFaRbRI871I/AAAAAAAAB8w/iAsXY8qGfcA/s1600/1612.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-sAgIVxZeapw/UFaRbRI871I/AAAAAAAAB8w/iAsXY8qGfcA/s320/1612.JPG" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Oh schnitzel!</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I text Libby a pic titled "Complete *#$% FAIL". My 5yo daughter runs by and says, "Awesome, Mom!" But I'm not feeling it. I go inside and sip my beer while I wait for Lib to respond. I keep looking at it in disappointment. Sam Adams starts to convince me it kinda looks cool. Libby texts, "Cam and I think it looks great. We like the fail. Turn your fail into a win!!!" </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<em></em> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<em>OK, I'm going with it. </em></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<em> </em>Now, I get my sanding block and go to town. (Be sure to sand in one direction, with the grain.) I'm now ready to position the clocks on the board to see where I want to place them.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<strong><span style="font-size: large;"><em><br />Handy Tip:</em></span></strong> An easy way to know where to hammer in a nail is to put a little dot of toothpaste on the hanger part of the object you are hanging. Press it against the wall, or in this case, board and when you pull it back a little paste is left exactly where the nail should go. </div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Vbtnmr6GQsU/UFaWasJ0xtI/AAAAAAAAB9c/91FsloDQSi8/s1600/1616.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Vbtnmr6GQsU/UFaWasJ0xtI/AAAAAAAAB9c/91FsloDQSi8/s320/1616.JPG" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">See the paste on the clock hanger? See the paste right below the tube hole on the tip of the chevron peak?<br />
Sorry, it's hard to see.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hammer in a nail and wipe off the paste. <em>Bam!</em></div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I set the time on the clocks, then make labels/tags with my Silhouette and glue them under their respective clock. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iwG34qFXKuQ/UFaeFySK75I/AAAAAAAAB-I/XtDtv_sBeyM/s1600/1625.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iwG34qFXKuQ/UFaeFySK75I/AAAAAAAAB-I/XtDtv_sBeyM/s320/1625.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-DA1pqjKW2QI/UFaYKSOm9eI/AAAAAAAAB9k/CKecr5As-Ds/s1600/1619.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-DA1pqjKW2QI/UFaYKSOm9eI/AAAAAAAAB9k/CKecr5As-Ds/s320/1619.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'm pretty happy with it despite all of the little mishaps. Moral of the story is to find the good in each situation. Turn your fail into a win. Be thankful for a positive friend that can make you look at things differently. I'm so blessed to have a pretty kick-ass craft coach in my corner.</div>
<br />
<span style="font-size: x-small;"><em>Thank you, Sarah B! I love this idea of having two clocks...wish I would have thought of doing that while my hubster was depolyed for 19 months! I just love how the chevron turned out, peeled paint and all! Great job!!! Any other military wives out there with a great idea like this?!? Please share what you do during deployments....I would love to hear from you!</em></span><br />

Wow, so there have been some changes since I last posted about <a href="http://www.aperfectlycrazylife.blogspot.com/2012/07/hagans-fake-birthday-part-ii.html">Hagan's Fake Birthday Party.</a> First of all, my best Florida girlfriend, my homey, my partner in crime, my matching center, my other half-brain, Sarah B., moved to Iowa. Let me tell you....I am having a hard time getting past this...I miss her tons! Do I miss her because she was always the one to keep me informed on school issues? Yes. I wouldn't have known half the stuff going on last school year if it wasn't for her. Do I miss her because we used to go out, have a great time and dance like nobody was looking? Yes. Do those two things sound like something a great friendship is based on? Not really, but if I go on, I'll be sobbing and this post will take you a week to read. This sums up our friendship:<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-2x-jnjZYAvI/UFC-TFK5SsI/AAAAAAAAB6M/sXShMGzFHGw/s1600/ecard.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="139" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-2x-jnjZYAvI/UFC-TFK5SsI/AAAAAAAAB6M/sXShMGzFHGw/s200/ecard.jpg" width="200" /></a>I miss you Sarah B!</div>
<br />
Second, Hagan had his actual birthday! My baby boy turned five years old, fo real dudes! His birthday was during Shark Week, c'mon....EVERYONE loves Shark Week! Our TV never went to a different channel the entire week, 24/7...seriously. So....guess what his birthday theme was??? You guessed it, PONIES! No................................................... SHARKS! <br />

He had an awesome day! We did just a family party since he already had one with his friends.<br />
<br />
THIRD!....My baby girl, my youngest daughter, Hana, turned 16!!! Sweet Sixteen ya'll!! I thought I took it pretty hard with Hagan turning five and starting Kindergarten, but Hana's birthday hit me like a Mac Truck! Since my older daughters have moved out and to Kansas, it made me realize I only have two years left with Hana in the house. That makes me sad...until she breaks the rules again....hahahahahaha! She loves elephants, so that's what I made for her :)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LSzlOdfQ8Iw/UFDAgrvFB4I/AAAAAAAAB60/9qet6Iueu2Y/s1600/038.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LSzlOdfQ8Iw/UFDAgrvFB4I/AAAAAAAAB60/9qet6Iueu2Y/s320/038.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-67dAiRw7huk/UFDArmZ4goI/AAAAAAAAB68/jnI5T7RAZrE/s1600/028.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-67dAiRw7huk/UFDArmZ4goI/AAAAAAAAB68/jnI5T7RAZrE/s320/028.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_kDwiO1q3Qk/UFDAtUoqpTI/AAAAAAAAB7E/ezrNKNUFgNA/s1600/Hana.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_kDwiO1q3Qk/UFDAtUoqpTI/AAAAAAAAB7E/ezrNKNUFgNA/s320/Hana.jpg" width="191" /></a></div>
She is also not a big cupcake/cake eater, so I bought her birthday muffins to start her birthday morning off right! Later in the evening we celebrated with an ice cream cake and then she hosted a dinner party at a local Japanese steakhouse, sans her parents. We weren't invited :) <br />
<br />
One of these days I plan to do an actual craft or DIY and share it with you...if I can ever stop feeling sorry for myself about my bf moving, my son starting Kindergarten and won't kiss me at the school, and my daughter growing up and moving out soon.....<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
In case you didn't see or read Part I (the making of party decor), you can find it <a href="http://www.aperfectlycrazylife.blogspot.com/2012/07/hagans-fake-birthday-part-i.html">here!</a> How cute is this first pic? Sarah B.'s daughter, Sophia (the other fake birthday girl), wanted to help set up the party, so we sent her outside to take pictures of the dino and kitty tracks! </div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-M7ocppOx47Q/UA1bD40nKRI/AAAAAAAAB3c/HUHDOqdMnps/s1600/060.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-M7ocppOx47Q/UA1bD40nKRI/AAAAAAAAB3c/HUHDOqdMnps/s320/060.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The party! Sarah B. has an awesome backyard, it's HUGE! Perfect for a large birthday party! The downside? We had a monsoon the night before, this after a week of almost non-stop rain, did not make for a pretty yard, but a drenched, water-logged yard. Thank goodness Sarah B. had lots of tarps!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aoxvL--MGZY/UA1bHnJMq7I/AAAAAAAAB3k/jYRp9XNTSNM/s1600/063.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aoxvL--MGZY/UA1bHnJMq7I/AAAAAAAAB3k/jYRp9XNTSNM/s320/063.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
The food table! We offered little snacks since our party was from 10am-noon. We wanted the party to be over before the heat REALLY set in! Donuts, fruit, veggies and chips were just enough! See the tablecloth? Sarah B. made that with two vinyl tablecloths and the original use was going to be an awning over the food table. Time and logistics kicked our butt on that one! We ran out of time, so we decided to use it as a tablecloth. Adorable!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ZNIuAvBHI28/UA1bKU_IPrI/AAAAAAAAB3s/e7SGcWQkgx4/s1600/065.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ZNIuAvBHI28/UA1bKU_IPrI/AAAAAAAAB3s/e7SGcWQkgx4/s320/065.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
The drink and dessert table. I loved our cupcake toppers and cake bunting! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-2rYMxlzhgtk/UA1bP8sebCI/AAAAAAAAB38/dVqpXLb7Wgc/s1600/068.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-2rYMxlzhgtk/UA1bP8sebCI/AAAAAAAAB38/dVqpXLb7Wgc/s320/068.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
We each made our kid their own "smash" cake (even though they were fakingly turning 5) since we served cupcakes. When do you stop making an individual cake for your child? I still like the idea just because when they blow out the candles, they are not spitting all over the entire cake for everyone!! Am I, right??? Think back on the birthday parties you've gone to and imagine how many little pieces of spittle you have consumed. Ew. I just gagged myself....<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-bbJy93QDh58/UA1bUIRyz9I/AAAAAAAAB4M/Q9gLuYw2qF4/s1600/070.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-bbJy93QDh58/UA1bUIRyz9I/AAAAAAAAB4M/Q9gLuYw2qF4/s320/070.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
Moving on ;) Check out how we kept the cupcake wrappers and toppers matching, but they each have their own theme.....We used scalloped edges on Sophia's stuff and a zig zag edge on Hagan's.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-qJMnpWr0gB0/UA1bXhVBgzI/AAAAAAAAB4U/qMqEbp_htvk/s1600/072.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-qJMnpWr0gB0/UA1bXhVBgzI/AAAAAAAAB4U/qMqEbp_htvk/s320/072.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wXDPPKGPh0E/UA1bZG36f8I/AAAAAAAAB4c/_fpOAuJYusA/s1600/074.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wXDPPKGPh0E/UA1bZG36f8I/AAAAAAAAB4c/_fpOAuJYusA/s320/074.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
The gift table. Sarah B. came up with the brillant idea of providing envelopes and asking each guests to fill it out with name and address. She made a cute sign and I put it in my adorable frame from Ikea.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_ncIqhLzGOs/UA1bapUtdTI/AAAAAAAAB4k/r2K_MfkATtU/s1600/076.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_ncIqhLzGOs/UA1bapUtdTI/AAAAAAAAB4k/r2K_MfkATtU/s320/076.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
Dinosaur Hagan with one of the photo props! The kids love putting on the props for pictures!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WMu6ne3TtRo/UA1bcOhiFmI/AAAAAAAAB4s/GBEK2RYrMCk/s1600/078.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WMu6ne3TtRo/UA1bcOhiFmI/AAAAAAAAB4s/GBEK2RYrMCk/s320/078.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
It is hard to see the actual banners, but for the joint "happy birthday," we combined scalloped and zig zag circles and used all the colors of the party.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Ets-ROXUeQY/UA1beQiTH9I/AAAAAAAAB40/_2-LyoBl1CE/s1600/082.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Ets-ROXUeQY/UA1beQiTH9I/AAAAAAAAB40/_2-LyoBl1CE/s320/082.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
For the individual name banners we used zig zag edges on Hagan's with the colors aqua, lime green and red.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Ina3x-lnvl8/UA1bgyfFr3I/AAAAAAAAB48/qSu-sfm4pOw/s1600/084.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Ina3x-lnvl8/UA1bgyfFr3I/AAAAAAAAB48/qSu-sfm4pOw/s320/084.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
Sophia's banner was scalloped edges with aqua, lime green and hot pink.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-H6Mm_sInSho/UA1bi3UmdQI/AAAAAAAAB5E/0eMiV9_c1po/s1600/086.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-H6Mm_sInSho/UA1bi3UmdQI/AAAAAAAAB5E/0eMiV9_c1po/s320/086.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
Our photobooth sign that we got from <a href="http://blog.mardigrasoutlet.com/2011/11/diy-photo-booth-ideas.html">here.</a> Sarah B. had this old trunk that we filled with dress up items that we already had or bought from the Dollar Tree. The kids really loved this. I'll be honest though, even though we set up a camera on a tripod, it was hard to remember to take pics....we should have delegated that out to another parent!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-IRuc953b68I/UA1bldKPdtI/AAAAAAAAB5M/KsJiEUessOE/s1600/092.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-IRuc953b68I/UA1bldKPdtI/AAAAAAAAB5M/KsJiEUessOE/s320/092.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This is the pinata made from stone and unbreakable. Not really, but after 30 minutes of the kids trying to break it open, that's what it seemed like! Finally, we just let an older boy go to town on it until it was "leaking" {haha}, then let Hagan have the final swing.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-IVac9VsXGkU/UA1bv19txRI/AAAAAAAAB5c/zJDDivEDu9E/s1600/178.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-IVac9VsXGkU/UA1bv19txRI/AAAAAAAAB5c/zJDDivEDu9E/s320/178.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
See? Just a pizza and Bud Light box....pretty damn sturdy! {AND super easy to make!}<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XLygxfv1H9E/UA1byoJ1MkI/AAAAAAAAB5k/JYO0NKvfHTA/s1600/184.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XLygxfv1H9E/UA1byoJ1MkI/AAAAAAAAB5k/JYO0NKvfHTA/s320/184.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
Hagan with some of his guests. It was so hot that day and especially hot in the bounce house. All the kids look like they jumped into a pool, they were so soaked! And this was WAY before noon! They had so much fun and I'm loving all the Kool-aid smiles!!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GajJC5KKTSQ/UA1b38EUnOI/AAAAAAAAB5s/_sfW7rebtO4/s1600/192.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GajJC5KKTSQ/UA1b38EUnOI/AAAAAAAAB5s/_sfW7rebtO4/s320/192.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
I'm now finished sharing Hagan's fake birthday....after all, his REAL birthday is coming up in 24 days...but who's counting? If you would like any other party details, or if you would like to order a party kit, contact me!<br />

<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xIlgGmj2bXs/UAbaWh3A_2I/AAAAAAAAB20/Qe93NgY4g2I/s1600/144.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xIlgGmj2bXs/UAbaWh3A_2I/AAAAAAAAB20/Qe93NgY4g2I/s320/144.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
I think this is my favorite picture from Hagan's fake birthday! How adorable is that Kool-aid grin? BTW, my son will turn five in August and on this day was his first time to ever have Kool-aid! I think he drank the entire gallon!<br />
<br />
My awesome, sweet, other half of my brain friend, Sarah B., and I planned a "fake" birthday party for my son, Hagan, and her daughter, Sophia (whose real birthdays are Aug. 16th and 17th) so that they could celebrate with all their preschool friends. Sadly, Sarah B. and family are moving at the end of this month (but I don't want to talk about it :( ) and she wanted all of Sophia's friends together one last time before the move. <br />
<br />
We planned the party together and made the decorations together. Even though Hagan wanted dinos and Sophie wanted Hello Kitty, I think we did a fabulous job of coordinating the two themes! I don't have many pictures of all the stuff we made, but I have a few to share.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BwXAyt5a330/UAbYg_lSQqI/AAAAAAAABy8/E5k-lPVj1EI/s1600/dinoculars1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="191" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BwXAyt5a330/UAbYg_lSQqI/AAAAAAAABy8/E5k-lPVj1EI/s320/dinoculars1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
The cute dino-culars were made from toilet paper rolls, scrapbook paper and ribbon. I got the idea from them <a href="http://laura-elephantjuice.blogspot.com/2011/01/barretts-dinosaur-partypart-i.html">here</a>. They were super easy and cost me NOTHING!! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jDmvvl_OOTw/UAbYdss0ozI/AAAAAAAABy0/tXF7LTrsJzg/s1600/dinoculars.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jDmvvl_OOTw/UAbYdss0ozI/AAAAAAAABy0/tXF7LTrsJzg/s320/dinoculars.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
The next giftbag item we made were dino eggs. Sarah B. found the idea on the internet, but now I can not find the exact one we used, but basically it was a playdough recipe that we added washed coffee grounds and paint to create an egg like color. (Check out Lisa's dinosaur fossils/eggs from <a href="http://creativeraisins.blogspot.com/2012/07/dinosaur-fossils.html">Creative Raisins.</a> I LOVE the color of her eggs much better!) These are the little guys buried inside the eggs. I purchased them from the Dollar Tree.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-b4JBLMRUbYQ/UAbYjsDXGLI/AAAAAAAABzM/O6bx7I37KtQ/s1600/dinoeggs1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-b4JBLMRUbYQ/UAbYjsDXGLI/AAAAAAAABzM/O6bx7I37KtQ/s320/dinoeggs1.jpg" width="191" /></a></div>
Sarah B. made the bag labels for me and I think they look so cool in their packages! The kids loved cracking open the eggs!<br />

Sorry for this blurry picture, but this was the making of Hagan's pinata. In tomorrow's post, you will be able to see the inside of the pinata. It's made from pizza and beer boxes. I came up with the idea to ruffle the crepe paper around the edges and center. Sarah B. is the master pinata maker, so I was pretty happy to contribute my idea :)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-702n86tunY0/UAbYoyPcu_I/AAAAAAAABzc/Wdesxf1CxLU/s1600/dinopinata.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-702n86tunY0/UAbYoyPcu_I/AAAAAAAABzc/Wdesxf1CxLU/s320/dinopinata.jpg" width="191" /></a></div>
Burning my fingers for the love of my son and his pinata! Hahahaha!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-w7M-jWo_x4Y/UAbYqtV50lI/AAAAAAAABzk/k-kS2luwRtg/s1600/dinopinata2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-w7M-jWo_x4Y/UAbYqtV50lI/AAAAAAAABzk/k-kS2luwRtg/s320/dinopinata2.jpg" width="191" /></a></div>
The finished pinata! Sophie's was exactly the same, but with a Hello Kitty head in the middle. So easy to make your own pinatas....I hope I'll be able to make more in the future without Sarah B. here to do it for me!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-iWo_kUk7nOA/UAbYvPx44rI/AAAAAAAABzs/RkSXBoxDgSg/s1600/dinopinata3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-iWo_kUk7nOA/UAbYvPx44rI/AAAAAAAABzs/RkSXBoxDgSg/s320/dinopinata3.jpg" width="191" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Inside the pinata are more small dinos (like the ones in the eggs), small cars and lots of candy. Everything was bought at the Dollar Tree.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NbEQoAnsCK0/UAbY2GzzbDI/AAAAAAAAB0E/HvUR2YP_-eA/s1600/dinotreatbags1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="191" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NbEQoAnsCK0/UAbY2GzzbDI/AAAAAAAAB0E/HvUR2YP_-eA/s320/dinotreatbags1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
For the giftbags I included, the dino eggs, bubbles, a dinosaur, pencils, a stick on mustache (because I'm still obssessed with those!) and some excavation tools. I bought Dollar Tree paintbrushes and foldable toothbrushes that I painted and bound together with ribbon and a tag. I got the idea for the tools <a href="http://onecharmingparty.com/2011/02/17/dinosaur-party-excavations-tools/">here.</a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-o9hYExMOF_c/UAbY8GHJwOI/AAAAAAAAB0U/VZbEsVAthw8/s1600/dinotreatbags3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-o9hYExMOF_c/UAbY8GHJwOI/AAAAAAAAB0U/VZbEsVAthw8/s320/dinotreatbags3.jpg" width="191" /></a></div>
The finished gift bag! I loved that the dino-culars hung from the side of the bag. I think the kids loved our giftbags. Sarah B.'s giftbags included Hello Kitty chapstick, bubbles and a super cute headband with kitty ears (made with Dollar Tree headbands and an old jacket! I love her creativity!) Luckily, I had a few extra giftbags because one of the girls at the party wanted a dino bag (and the Hello Kitty bag)! Love that!<br />
<br />
Well, that's all for today folks! I don't want to bore you with a ton of pictures all in one day :) The dino-culars and excavation tool links can also be found on my Pinterest board titled "Hagan's 5th Birthday." There are so many cute ideas for dino birthdays, take a look at my board and see if it inspires you to have a dino party!<br />

To keep it short; I set up my booth at a craft fair, eventually being summoned by five women to an apartment up grimy, scary stairs, where they all proceeded to yell at me. I was told I could only sell paper items if I made the paper by hand.....then some other stuff happened and eventually the nightmare ending with me trying to swim away in a river, carrying a pair of Carhart pants full of rocks. I'm still stumped by that part.....Anyway, during the dream I was outraged that I had to make my own paper! What about the woman who sold quilts? Did she have to make her own material??? I was very angry in my dream :) This reminded me to tell you about my Farmer's Market experience. Here's my booth, I thought it was set up pretty cute.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ju4ab3vS4Ak/UAXEGc3msgI/AAAAAAAAByM/O_elnenH_DU/s1600/booth2012.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="191" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ju4ab3vS4Ak/UAXEGc3msgI/AAAAAAAAByM/O_elnenH_DU/s320/booth2012.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
This is a picture of where and how I displayed my party kits. I set up a mini party table that was adorable with popsical themed party kit.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zcc1uDCk4PA/UAXEHMNOpBI/AAAAAAAAByU/c7qTrJEqqH4/s1600/booth20121.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="191" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zcc1uDCk4PA/UAXEHMNOpBI/AAAAAAAAByU/c7qTrJEqqH4/s320/booth20121.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
I ended up selling only one chicken wire frame. The white one in the picture below. I did give out lots of business cards! Was it a failure? I don't think so. I learned that I need to focus on one "area," which will be my party kits and that I need to work on my people skills. I'm not a pushy person (or one who likes to talk to strangers), so for me to approach potential clients, it took all my guts. I was sick to death that morning with anxiety!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-f2676qAjlRw/UAXELFCbw5I/AAAAAAAAByc/y3TA5l5rto0/s1600/booth20122.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="191" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-f2676qAjlRw/UAXELFCbw5I/AAAAAAAAByc/y3TA5l5rto0/s320/booth20122.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
However; after I had people coming down to look at the "Pinterest" booth, I kinda got a chip on my shoulder. AND it was another booth holder, who I had purchased items from several times, that was calling my booth that! I was into crafts and reusing items WAY before Pinterest was even around...I started this blog before I had even heard of Pinterest! It kind of hurt my feelings, like they were saying, "She got all her ideas off Pinterest and anyone can do that." No. Not true. Not everyone can create, recreate, dream, construct, what they see. Right?? <br /><br /> Would that have bothered you? <br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
We finally got all moved into our house! It was an exhausting week, but I managed to get everything unpacked and put away before my oldest daughter, Heather, came to visit with her fiance, Jesse, and my G-baby, Kayden! We were all super excited for the visit, especially because it included four nights at the beach! We had a great time....I don't have many pictures, but I can assure you, EVERYONE knew our son, Hagan, before our visit was over and we got to have our great friends, Sarah and Steve B., visit with their kid crew! So much fun!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Look really, really close and you can see the Hubster, Jesse and Steve B. holding down our tent during a lightening storm with high winds. The only smart people on the beach {that folks, is straight up sarcasm!} ! All of us girls and kids were safely in the hotel room! Duh.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
My youngest girl, Hana, a.k.a. Nene, and I on the beach at sunset. I think this is the only picture I have of myself with one of my kiddos! Bad Mommy!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BPjpaKaMlak/UAQZQBHqSLI/AAAAAAAABxM/5mQZGPF8NWQ/s1600/toe.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BPjpaKaMlak/UAQZQBHqSLI/AAAAAAAABxM/5mQZGPF8NWQ/s320/toe.jpg" width="191" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Please ignore the jacked up toenails and missing polish! I can assure you that my toes did not look like that on the first day of the beach vacay! Let's focus on the injury. Yup, I managed to slice open the TOP of my toe while walking on the beach. Almost tasted sand too, but recovered my fall. However, I couldn't recover my fall when Nene and I walked to the rocks at 11pm on our last night. I can't post pics of those injuries because then I'd have to expose you to my cellulite and upper thigh, but let me assure you.....it HURT and stung and I had to walk about four blocks back to the room. Actually, we laughed all the way home because that's just me being me. Injuries are inevitable. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-e33-2fzQ-GY/UAQZV_-ynYI/AAAAAAAABxU/VhAdQUcOXxo/s1600/Hooters.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="191" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-e33-2fzQ-GY/UAQZV_-ynYI/AAAAAAAABxU/VhAdQUcOXxo/s320/Hooters.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Post falling on the rocks, we all went to Hooters to enjoy some wings. This is Hagan with some of the Hooters girls. He insisted his picture be hung on the wall along with everyone elses. He didn't realize that they are famous people in the photos, but then, in his head, he IS famous! </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Prepare yourself for gorgeous, G-Baby photos!!! This is my Kaydie Bug :) She's adorable, smart and hilarious. I admit, I'm biased! Heather bought Kayden an outfit {a lace, ruffled romper} from <a href="http://www.zulily.com/">zulily.com</a> specifically for a beach photo shoot. We had so much fun! These are just some photos I snapped on my phone, the ones Heather took with her awesome camera are WAY better!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My fave picture! Gpa {the Hubster} is holding her. She loves him a lot. It makes me a little jelly. Oh well, she's all mine today! Her 'rents went to Universal, the Hubster went to work and I'm taking her and Hagan swimming :) Have a great day!</div>

That was my clue to say "bye, bye, bye" at the end of our lease instead of trying to stay in the house as long as possible. They decided to foreclose/short sell the house, so when our lease is up July 1st we will be moving to another rental in the neighborhood. Oh, they offered us first dibs on the house {gee thanks}, but um, no thank you. We only have one year left here in Florida before we move to Georgia and this house isn't quite a money pit, but it is a lot of upkeep. Anyway, this is what I'll be doing daily to prepare.....<br />

Hello! Hello! My friends and I had another craft party last month...let's just say this one didn't turn out quite like we had planned in our pretty little heads :) First off...guess who forgot to bring the MOST important tool?? ME!! Our plan was to make some of these chicken wire frames:<br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://thriftyfindsandredesigns.blogspot.com/2011/09/framed-chicken-wire-memo-board.html">{Source}</a><br /><br /><span style="font-size: small;">However; while enjoying delish food, I realized I forgot the stapler!!! DOH! My girl, Carola, had one, but NO staples {heeheehee}. I had to call and beg the Hubster to dig through all my craft crap to find the stapler and when he did...it didn't have any staples either! Well, being the sweet guy that he is, he dug out 13 staples from the bottom of his tool box to save the night! Sarah B. and I decided we would save our craft for later so that Sara and Carola could finish theirs and use the staples. First: We painted!!</span></td></tr>

Have you ever finished a fix-up, then think, "I gotta improve this other stuff too?" Happened to me. We have had a table and two chairs FO-EVA that really needed updated, so I thought I'll take on painting the patio furniture {instead of doing the project that is burning a hole in my brain :)} A before of the boring, bland furniture:<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-lrmo9fdkT_w/T4xLMVFHJCI/AAAAAAAABs0/THXhmZGIzjc/s1600/001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-lrmo9fdkT_w/T4xLMVFHJCI/AAAAAAAABs0/THXhmZGIzjc/s320/001.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />

My four year old son tried all day to get me, but he didn't exactly get the concept of tricking me. He would tap me on the shoulder, run to my other side and said, "It wasn't me. April fool's!" But then.....he was upstairs playing in his room and he came to the stair landing and said in a very worried voice, "I accidently pooped in my room." I just kept repeating, "What?!?! Why?!?!?" {He used to do that during potty training ALL. THE. TIME} As I got up {not gonna lie, I was pretty angry}, he yelled, "April fool's!!!" Man, he got me good that time! Hubster was rolling on the floor laughing so hard! So happy April 1st is over :)</div><br />
In this <a href="http://www.aperfectlycrazylife.blogspot.com/2012/04/craft-party.html">post</a>, I was gushing about the new Rustoleum colors available at Home Depot, including Key Lime, Fire Orange and Lagoon and I was inspired by the Lagoon. I was curious to see if it comes out as vibrant as the cap {nobody used it at the craft party}. I had a window that I purchased at Ikea in the "as is" section, oh, about a million years ago, that has been neglected in my garage. It was the lucky piece!<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: small;">Before we began our mouse pad craft, we used E6000 to glue the candle stick to the tray. While that dried, we went to work on the mouse pads. I'm not sure where Wendy got the idea from, but it was easy peasy. She provided templates for the shapes, so we traced them onto the cork board and cut out. Be sure you have very sharp scissors or an exacto knife for a smooth edge. The we picked our material, ironed it {first time I ironed in 39 years. Yes, I'm 39. I NEVER iron.}, ironed on the fusing....see, I wasn't really paying attention because I can't even tell you what it's called. Bond something?!?! Once it was ironed together, we traced and cut out the shape a little smaller and ironed the fabric onto the cork. Super easy! Most of the girls didn't really need a mouse pad {unlike me}, so they made theirs bigger and are going to use them as an actual cork board. Wha?!?! Use something for it's actual purpose?!?! Shock!</span></td></tr>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: small;">After completing the mouse pad, we went out and spray painted the dessert stands. I had to convince some of the girls that they weren't making a life altering decision in picking a paint color...it's just paint. Do overs are allowed. I re-paint mine for whatever holiday or party is coming up. It saves money to re-use! Do you ever have a hard time picking a color? We had an awesome evening and we are all looking forward to next month's party. Any easy craft ideas? If you try any of these projects, I'd love to see YOUR pictures! </span></td></tr>

Surprisingly, and thankfully, this year has flown by...why am I so happy about time going so fast? I'm ready for my husband to be home! He has been deployed now for 18 months {seriously *sigh*}. The blog has given me something to focus on and kept me busy, but my hubby will be home in a week and I'm so stoked!!! I will definitely need to be more organized and have better time management......it is going to be quite the adjustment when he returns. Honestly, I really haven't cooked a meal, like a sit down dinner, since August when we moved my middle daughter, Haley, to college. Hagan, my son, only eats a few different things, so he never eats what I make for myself and Hana, my daughter, so I think I may have forgotten how to cook a real meal! I'm so ready to have my have bestest friend, partner in crime, tag team member home!!! This says it all......</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LpGNRDA1MRc/T2YGyAKnOHI/AAAAAAAABp8/YetyujaCwOw/s1600/Cammie.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LpGNRDA1MRc/T2YGyAKnOHI/AAAAAAAABp8/YetyujaCwOw/s320/Cammie.jpg" width="160" /></a></div><br />

Not even a froster really. I can screw up the whole process pretty bad. Check out <a href="http://www.aperfectlycrazylife.blogspot.com/2011/10/halloween-desserts.html">this picture!</a> Horrible, right?! Well, I'm in love with the whole ombre trend right now, actually, I wish I had long flowing loose curls so that I could color the ends lighter, but my hair is so short right now it would probably look like I just needed a new dye job. Anyway, I attempted to make an ombre cake today. Of course, I used box mixes! Duh. Box mixes and food coloring....<br />

I was busy working on a new party kit for my etsy shop and completely forgot! Boo to me! Anyway, I'll give you a sneak peek and hopefully I will finish it today and have it in my etsy shop tonight!<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-P8rDnn38HIM/T1omk2ooHdI/AAAAAAAABow/Nov4o3BgXFw/s1600/Cowboy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="191" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-P8rDnn38HIM/T1omk2ooHdI/AAAAAAAABow/Nov4o3BgXFw/s320/Cowboy.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I'm loving my Silhouette Cameo! Fun shapes like the silhouettes are so cute and easy!</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-dN3oV8JdC64/T1omnFSsj1I/AAAAAAAABo4/ImKkN8wOcQQ/s1600/cowboy2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="191" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-dN3oV8JdC64/T1omnFSsj1I/AAAAAAAABo4/ImKkN8wOcQQ/s320/cowboy2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div> I'm excited about finishing the banners and I hope they turn out how I imagine them in my head....but we all know how that goes sometimes! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ofk_OhV7T54/T1ompY4JaXI/AAAAAAAABpA/QKTOb5VE9ik/s1600/Hagan392012.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ofk_OhV7T54/T1ompY4JaXI/AAAAAAAABpA/QKTOb5VE9ik/s320/Hagan392012.jpg" width="191" /></a></div> My little man has been dressing himself all week for school. Today is a good day :) Yesterday it was red plaid shorts with a bright orange shirt...yea, didn't really match. Do you let your little ones dress themselves even if you're going in public with them? I love that he wants to express himself and if that means wearing a power ranger costume or a completely non-matching outfit, I'm okay with that!<br />
<br />
Have an awesome weekend!<br />
