YOU MAKE ME HAPPY

Anyone else live in the Tampa area?  South Florida?  If you do, you know it rains almost everyday, afternoon showers or small thunderstorms.  If you've ever visited my blog while I was talking about our huge, scaredy-cat, dog, you would know that he hears thunder WAY before we do.  He then stares at us with CRAZY eyes til he gets to come inside.  Well, that's what he was doing today.  About 20 minutes later we heard it too.  Although....it DIDN'T rain.  I hate that about Florida weather....you can never tell if the storm will hit or miss AND after a good rain, it doesn't even cool down...just becomes MORE humid!  Ok, on to the point of the post :)  We made cupcakes today and decided to pick a fitting cupcake topper:

BUT FIRST!  I had to make a 3-tier dessert tray.  I got this idea from Decor-ganize Crafts.

I used two packages of burner covers and six candlesticks from The Dollar Tree.  I really regret forgetting to take a before picture of the burners...they had a rooster on them.  Enough said.  These are them primed:

These are them painted Blue Ocean Breeze from Krylon......

.....although they look white....once again, sorry for the quality of pictures :)

I used E6000 to glue the candle sticks together and to attach them to the burner covers.

 Here is where all my previous ramblings come into play....delicious red velvet cupcakes with sprinkles and cupcake toppers to make anyone happy when skies are gray!  

WOW...is that not the most messed up cupcake?  Could I have picked a crappier one for the picture?
